Kim Wall was a Swedish award winning journalist reporting on the self-taught Danish inventor, Peter Madsen's UC3 Nautilus, which at the time was the world's largest submarine. On August 11, 2017 she stepped into the submarine for a brief descent into the Køge Bay. This would be the last time she would be seen alive.
