Learn to crochet during National Crochet Month and enjoy this fiber craft for a lifetime.

Does the idea of crocheting intrigue you or intimidate you? Have you always wanted to try crocheting, but gotten frustrated by the process of learning? Welcome to Stay and Crochet, the workshop designed to teach crochet basics in an enjoyable and painless way. You will learn the basic building blocks of crocheting to set you on the path to stick with it and keep building your skill set. The focus will be on getting comfortable with the basics and increasing your confidence for mastering more advanced skills. Materials (hooks and yarn) provided. Join us to get started on learning this wonderful fiber art and reap the benefits of its meditative-like qualities.

About the branch

*Originally opened in 1932 and designated as Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library’s main branch, EVPL Central is located at 200 SE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. With 145,000 square feet, the building contains areas for kids and teens, Maker Central, Education Central, Business Central, study rooms, and the Indiana Room, a special collection of materials that focus on local and regional history. Available for public use, EVPL Central also features the Browning Rooms, a conference room, and a large group room.
