Get Ready to Learn, Build, and Play with Music! Join acclaimed musician and music educator, Monte Skelton, for an exciting instrumental music program designed just for young minds.
Inspired by the playful spirit of "Acoustic Rooster and his Barnyard Band," this program goes beyond just listening – it's about making music! In just one hour, your child will embark on a musical adventure:
LEARN:Â Discover the amazing sounds all around us! From familiar instruments to the unexpected rhythms of everyday objects, we'll explore how sound is everywhere and can be music. Monte will introduce a variety of instruments, including the cool electronic wind instrument (EWI) and demonstrate how technology like looping can create incredible layers of sound.
BUILD: How do musicians take ideas and turn them into songs? Your child will get a peek into the creative process! Monte will show how different musical parts come together and even build a basic song with the audience. See how collaboration makes music come alive!
PLAY! This is where the real fun happens! After enjoying some musical performances, kids will have the chance to ask questions and even join Monte in creating a song live! The best part? The program concludes with a hands-on instrument building session, so your child can continue their musical exploration and make their own music at home!
