Learn about the tradition of food and cooking as well as the local food system and land use. Follow along virtually while our food experts showcase wonderful recipes found in amazing books.

Presenters Denise with Lyles Station (Legacy Taste of the Garden) and Maria with Urban Seeds will teach youth how to prepare a recipe while connecting them to the local food system. We encourage you to prepare a dish to share with family and start a dialogue about the cooking tradition in your family.

Ingredients will be available for pick up from the chosen library location between 1pm-5pm the day before the virtual session.  This program is intended for ages 8 through 10 (Grades 3-5) but siblings and other family members are encouraged to join in the fun.
