Preparing for Disasters and How to prepare a Go-Bag. Angela Bullock, from the Emergency Management Agency, and Claire Will from the American Red Cross will present.

For National Preparedness Month, experts Angela Bullock of the Emergency Management Agency and Claire Will of the American Red Cross, will share practical tips for emergency preparedness, including how to assemble an evacuation bag. Select items will be offered to help attendees start building their own Go-Bags. 

*Due to the historic nature of the EVPL East, West, and Stringtown buildings, their meeting rooms are not fully ADA accessible. If you are interested in participating in a program that is not accessible, please contact that location to arrange alternative accommodations.

About the branch

Located at 840 E. Chandler Ave., EVPL East was one of three original libraries built in Evansville with funds donated by Andrew Carnegie. Along with EVPL West, it was dedicated and opened to the public on January 1, 1913. Renovated in 2003, the building is surrounded by a park-like setting and features a spacious meeting room, public access computers, and comfortable adult and youth areas.
