Join us at USI to explore the Bent Twig Trails while certified mushroom-identification expert Joshua Dessauer helps us identify wild mushrooms. Walk away with tips on how to safely forage.

Many folks enjoy foraging for mushrooms in the spring, but it can be tough to do so safely when many mushroom species look similar. Join us and Joshua Dessauer of Nature's Legacy Mushrooms as he guides us through identifying wild mushrooms and informs us of their uses while hiking USI's Bent Twig Trails.

This program takes place at USI's Bent Twig Trails, a downloadable pdf map is available on their site. Parking is available in front of the Children's Learning Center or behind the Publishing Services Center, both to the right of Bent Twig Lane. We will meet at the Bent Twig trailhead and a waiver will need to be signed by each participant before beginning the hike.
